Introduction to Marketing Toolkit
The UC Master Gardener Marketing Toolkit has been developed for volunteers
and coordinators for use in promoting local programs and outreach projects. Our UC Master Gardener programs excel at providing horticulture information to the public, however, this expertise does not always transfer to successfully marketed events and this can mean poor attendance. The new UCMG Marketing Toolkit will help you create public awareness and stimulate attendance.
The toolkit contents will also help your county maximize volunteer and
coordinator resources. It includes templates and guidelines that will assist in
developing productive marketing strategies specific to your county’s unique
requirements. In addition, utilizing the toolkit will promote a cohesive statewide brand and also minimize the distribution of inconsistent or inaccurate information.
Key points for tool kit use:
• Contents include templates, guidelines, and logos.
• The toolkit contents will be updated periodically. Verify you are utilizing the
latest postings.
• Contents are accessible to MG volunteers and MG coordinators.
• Prior to public distribution of any marketing materials, MG volunteers are
advised to obtain authorization from their county MG coordinator or advisor.
