UCCE Demonstration Landscapes

Located at the South Coast Research and Extension Center, the UCCE Demonstration Landscapes are comprised of three unique outdoor classrooms utilizing various Best Management Practices (BMPs) to reduce water use and improve water quality.

Designed so visitors learn firsthand how to use and  implement landscape BMPs, the landscapes feature:

• multiple irrigation systems
• permeable hardscape options
• low water use plant material

As one of the former UC Davis Arboretum All-Star plant and climate zone trial locations, guests have the opportunity to view a collection of All-Star plants recommended for their tolerance to drought and summer heat.
