Start a Credit Card Survey
Make sure your survey is associated with a website enabled to accept credit cards (see Unit Authorization)
In order to accept credit card payments, your survey must be affiliated with a website with credit cards enabled. This feature is designed to ensure that there is administrative oversight with credit card surveys. Check here to see if your unit is authorized.
You will not be able to add credit card questions until your survey has the credit card option turned on.
Within the SurveyBuilder:
Create your survey, then click on the 'Credit Cards' option.

One of two things will happen when you click on that link.
1 - If your survey is attached to a website that can accept credit card payments, then you will have the option to enter in DaFIS information.

If you see this screen, then you can move forward with activating the credit card system. Check the 'activate' box on top, then enter in the DaFIS chart and account. The sub-account is optional. You must click the 'activate' box. That triggers the system to allow you to add credit card questions. If you never get the option to add a credit card question, this is the reason!
You are also required to enter text which will be displayed when the entire credit card process has been completed successfully. That box ('Text on page AFTER payment') is your opportunity to thank the user for their payment, and tell them the next step, such as, "You are now fully registered for the November 16th field day. Thank you." This will be the last screen they see as part of the registration process.
2 - If your survey is NOT attached to a website that can accept credit card payments, you have one of two choices.
First, you can move your survey to a website that is authorized to accept credit cards. In order to do this, click on the 'move tool' link at the end of the message.

Now you will have the option to move your survey to a different website. In the dropdown list, the websites/units with (CC) at the end of their name are eligible to accept credit cards. Choose the unit, and click 'Move Survey.'
From the outside, the only difference in the survey will be the header. Internally, the assigned unit determines who has the responsibility to give final authorization for the survey.

Or, you can request to have your website authorized to accept credit cards. If you feel that your site should accept credit cards, contact Karl Krist. If you already are affiliated with a site that does accept credit cards, using that site may be your best option.
Once your website is ready to accept credit cards, read about adding credit card questions.
