Pre-Doctoral Fellowships 2013

Pre-doctoral trainee positions will be available for the 2013-2014 academic year. Any graduate student in the lab of a Superfund investigator or any graduate student (independent of current Superfund affiliation) that is interested in on-going projects and generating exciting new collaborative projects with Superfund investigators is eligible to apply.

Dr. Henry (Tung-Tien) Sun Workshop

The famous cell biologist Dr. Henry Sun is giving a workshop to graduate students on how to be successful in doing research. He did this during a visit in 2000 that was a smashing success and got rave reviews from the students and faculty in attendance. That experience inspired him to develop his ideas more formally, leading to a Nature article and development of a workshop. Please click his website for details.

Dr. Sun received his Ph.D. from University of California, Davis in 1974 in the Biochem Grad Group. His research area now is on epidermal, corneal and urinary tract epithelia. The workshop will be held on June 16 (Sat), from 9am to 4:30pm, (registration begins at 8am) at 1005 Genome & Biomedical Sciences Facility.
