About Us
4-H is about helping young people discover their potential and grow into competent, contributing, and caring citizens. Learn-by-doing activities, youth-adult partnerships, and research-based educational programs help kids enhance their leadership abilities and develop a wide range of life skills.
San Mateo/San Francisco 4-H general enrollment is in Late Summer - Fall, but 4-H has open enrollment where members and volunteers may join at anytime!
You must be at least 5 years old or in Kindergarten by January 1st of each program year and no older than 19 by December 31st.
Support for San Mateo and San Francisco County's 4-H Program is located in Half Moon Bay in the University of California Cooperative Extension office, along with Agriculture, Urban Forestry and Master Gardening/Home Gardening Programs. We also administer to our Nutrition Education programs located in San Bruno and Elkus Ranch Environmental Education Center. Please go to: http://ucanr.org/sites/cesanmateo/ to learn more.
