| Plant Description | A tough plant for rough conditions, able to withstand poor soil, heat, wind, and coastal microclimates. Branches tend to shoot in all directions and benefit from pruning unless shrubs are used as barrier plants. Gray-green leaves, marked with rust colored dots, have a silvery sheen but named cultivars bear more interesting foliage. ‘Maculata’ leaves are darker green with large yellow centers; ‘Variegata’ leaves are edged in yellow; ‘Marginata’ leaves have silver edges. |
