Top Succulents for Sonoma County

We're very pleased to introduce a new feature: Top Succulents for Sonoma County. This carefully selected list is comprised of succulents that can be grown throughout the County and withstand winter freezes. Succulents are a great choice for our Mediterranean climate as most look attractive year round, and they generally require low water and can take the summer heat that much of the County receives. Sudden Oak Death is spreading in Sonoma county. A group of Master Gardeners have received advanced training in SOD and are conducting talks and preventive treatment demonstration workshops throughout the county.

Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by the UC Davis Cooperative Extension. They provide gardening help and information for Sonoma County home gardeners, and give classes, seminars and workshops throughout the county.
