Staff awards include three types of work-related awards defined by the Employee Non-Cash Awards procedures.
- Spot Award. Award may be granted to recognize and reward outstanding individual and/or team performance at the discretion of respective center and RECAO management, with approval of REC Associate Director. There are two types of awards.
- Cash award. Maximum allowed is $500.
- Non-Cash award. Gifts of tangible personal property (i.e. flowers, plaque, non-negotiable gift certificate) with a cash value up to $75. Cost of a gift exceeding $75 must be approved by Vice President-ANR.
- Length of Service. Employees reaching 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, etc. years of service receive a non-cash service award limited to $400, depending on years of service.
- Retirement. Depending on employee’s years of service, a maximum of a $400 award may be granted at the discretion of respective center and RECAO management, with approval of REC Associate Director.
