Welcome!

Welcome to the Operation: Military Kids – Local/Regional Support Network!  This network was formed to help fill the much needed gap for support for Military Youth and their families in the Bakersfield area.  We have almost 3,300 military youth, right here in our own backyard!  In most cases these youth are 1-2 hours away from a military base, where they would usually get supportive services.
There are two parts to our local support network:

• Local/Support Network Meetings
  • Community partners meet monthly to see what services they can provide to benefit/support military youth and their families
• Peyton’s Pals Military Fun Days
  • Monthly family fun days for youth (with a deployed parent) and their family.  Community partners will be out showcasing services that can support youth and their families during their time of need
