Garden Give and Take
Garden Give & Take is a community service event sponsored by the Fresno County Women's Chamber of Commerce. The event has been ongoing since 1968; when it was started by Ethel McCormack. The event is held twice in most years: the last Saturday in February and the last Saturday in October (rain or shine). There is no admission fee and the plants are FREE.
Plants of all types including bulbs, cuttings and seeds are donated by many participating home gardeners. The plants are brought in bags, boxes, etc. They do not have to be in pots. These plants are identified by students from CSUF and Reedley College, instructors from both colleges and the UC Master Gardeners.

Not only do you get free plants at this event, but advice is available from the Master Gardeners on planting, watering, etc. A Master Gardener will present a mini seminar on a home gardening topic. Master Gardeners continue to be involved in this super community event.
