Held on February 18, 2009 at UC Davis, this event showcased viticulture and wine-related research projects as 15-minute talks by researchers. Wine and Wine Grape Research was offered by UC Davis Extension for the first time in 2009 and is anticipated to be offered annually as an opportunity for researchers, growers, winemakers, students, and others interested in cutting-edge projects. Sponsors included the American Vineyard Foundation, Viticulture Consortium West, and the National Grape and Wine Initiative.
