Who are Master Gardeners?

UC Master Gardeners are volunteers from the community who are trained by UC Cooperative Extension specialists on home horticulture, pest management, and sustainable landscape practices. Master Gardeners answer questions, conduct demonstrations, and diagnose plant/pest problems and much more for the public. Volunteers are supervised and guided by UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE) County Directors, Advisers, Program Reps and staff.

Information provided by Master Gardeners is developed through research by the University of California. The UC system has ten campuses, nine field research stations, and 64 county Cooperative Extension offices throughout California, including our Glenn County Cooperative Extension office in Orland.
