About Tasting Time

Tasting Time Tastings are scheduled once per month, September through May. We provide a "two-bite" taste for students to try out new foods. As much as possible, UC CalFresh buys local, seasonal produce from farms within the Central Valley. When unavailable locally, we seek produce from farms within California. All tastings are subject to change due to availability. Please record students' responses to tastings on the Teacher Tasting Tool.

October 2012: Butternut squash salsa & 100% whole wheat crackers

September 2012: Pears

Kit will include Asian and Bartlett pears.
