About ANR Training

Why this site was created

The UC ANR Staff Personnel Unit, with support and input from the Academic Personnel Unit and support from Communication Services and Information Technology, is designated as the primary unit responsible for coordinating the development of training programs.

In fall 2010 the ANR Training Coordination Advisory Committee was formed to accomplish the following:

1. Develop a method for faculty and staff to find training opportunities that apply to their position
2. Develop a comprehensive training calendar
3. Identify what can be done now with current and future resources
4. Develop timeline for implementation
5. Identify the best practical training methods to teach each subject
6. Find and make available training materials already produced and available to ANR personnel.
7. Identify what training materials can and should be produced internally, purchased from external sources
8. Develop a targeted notification method to announce new training opportunities
9. Ensure faculty and staff know what training is mandatory (HR, risk management, etc.)
10. Develop methods to evaluate success of individual training materials and the overall coordination of training materials within ANR.
