Carambola (Star Fruit)

Botany: Averrhoa carambola L.  (in the family Oxalidaceae)

Origin: The carambola is native to Sri Lanka and the Moluccas and has been cultivated in southeast Asia (especially Thailand and Malaysia) for many years.
