Woody Biomass Utilization Feasibility Studies
On this page you can download (pdf) various feasibility studies and other reports related to woody biomass utilization. If you are interested in feasibility studies it is advisable to look at some of these to understand the type of product you will get. It should also help you in designing the request for proposals (RFP).
Feasibility Studies & Reports (CARC&D funded)
The twelve reports and feasibility studies, below, were funded by the California Association for Resource Conservation and Development Councils with a grant from US Forest Service Region 5 State & Private Forestry. Feasibility Studies and Reports (others)
The studies below were completed for Southern California Edison (SCE) in 2008 and 2009. They address the fuel availability as waste from Shaver Forest, an environmental analysis on using that biomass as fuel for a potential biopower facility, and costs (of fuel procurement and of major system components). SCE has allowed us to post these documents because they use public information and might be a learning resource for others.
