Woody Biomass Utilization Grant
USDA Forest Service TMU Woody Biomass Utilization Grant Program
This is a national program that runs on an annual basis. It is managed by the State and Private Forestry Technology Marketing Unit located at the Forest Products Laboratory in Madison, WI. In the past there has been approximately $4m available nationally for projects that increase the utilization of woody biomass from federal lands and reduce the risk of wildfire and disease.
The schedule varies from year to year as does the funding available. Check the TMU homepage for further information. We have also compiled maps that show the locations of successful projects for the grant in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
