Grazing & K-Line Irrigation Workshop
K-Line irrigation is a series of above ground pods and poly pipe with sprinklers inside the pods. The poly pipe is connected to a central riser and then the pipe and the pods can be moved with an ATV while the sprinklers are running. This type of system is very flexible and cheaper to install than solid set sprinklers. The field day will feature a demonstration of the pod system, soils, electric fencing, grazing principles, and strateries for finishing on grass.
Speakers:
- George Notle, Owner - Elster Ranch
- Jason Jackson - Natural Resources Conservation Service
- Roger Ingram—UC Cooperative Extension Farm Advisor
