Proposed Positions - October 2010
Introduction
Dear Forestry Workgroup,
Workgroup Chairs have been invited to submit proposals for specialist and advisor positions to be filled over the next two years. Click here to view the solicitation that came to County Directors, Work Group Chairs, strategic initiative leaders, and associate deans of the colleges. ANR Program Council will review these proposals in January 2011 and develop recommendations to Vice President Dooley by March.
The Sustainable Natural Ecosystems Strategic Initiative developed several of the positions, and faculty in College of Natural Resources, UC Berkeley and County Director Scott Oneto developed several others. Shown below are position descriptions for four specialists and an advisor.
Please review these positions and submit comments and rank these positions via the Rating Positions button on the left hand side of this webpage. As Forestry WG chair, I will take your comments and suggestions into consideration in recommending positions.
As noted in the Position Solicitation, these proposed positions must be relevant to the ANR Strategic Vision, have significant short term impact (5 year) and fill gaps in the ANR Continuum. Please review the positions with this in mind.
The CNR Dean's office would like to receive our position recommendations by November 1, so they have time to review them and coordinate support from other units for the November 15 filing date.
Thank you.
Gary Nakamura
