Potential Grant Opportunities

The University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources is soliciting proposals for research projects that address Africanized Honey Bees in California. Project funding is to be solely used in support of research being conducted by the Departments of Entomology at one or more of the University of California campuses. Proposals are DUE June 15, 2013; click here for the 2013 African Honey Bees Request for Proposals (RFP).

The National Ornamentals Research Site at Dominican University of California (NORS-DUC) has released a REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) - FY 2013-2014. Proposals are requested for research on methods development to inhibit Phytophthora ramorum establishment and spread, mitigations to manage P. ramorum, epidemiological studies on inoculum sources, pathways, soil sampling focal points and disease distribution in nurseries. In addition proposals relating to other soil-borne pathogens known to occur in California that are of economic importance to the national nursery industry will be considered. Funding Alert: NIFA Releases 2012 RFAs to AFRI

AFRI grants deadlines are fast approaching and the Program Support Unit has online resources that includes video tutorials for locating and navigating an AFRI federal funding opportunity, completing an AFRI Grants.gov grant application and submitting the application.
