Heart of the City
Urban Garden Walk
- an entirely self-contained hydroponics garden
- community gardens
- urban water conservation demonstrations
- hidden gems full of innovative gardening concepts
- two of TNDC's gardens which distribute free, fresh produce to Tenderloin residents
All walks are approximately 1 ¼ miles and will begin and end at UC Hastings Snodgrass Plaza (McAllister and Hyde streets) where there will be educational stations showcasing a variety of urban gardening topics as well as a sale of locally grown plants and seeds for fall and winter gardens.
Tickets will be available soon. $20 for adults; kids get in free. Proceeds benefit both organizations.
