Marin is home to many pioneers of organic agriculture, including the first organic dairy west of the Mississippi (Straus) and the longest standing organic vegetable grower in California (Star Route Farms). Now Marin is home to organic silage, pasture, dairy products, hay, oats, fruits & vegetables, flowers & herbs, eggs, and livestock.

Naturally, Marin is also the birthplace of many organizations that aid in both educating about organic agricultural practices and helping farmers to market their value-added products.
