To navigate Agricultural Production Data click on the link below. The link will take you to Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nation's, Economic and Social Department, The Statistics Division, Major Food and Agricultural Commodities and Producers. This website allows you to sort commodity by country, countries by commodity, and Country rank in the world, by
commodity.

Agricultural Production Data

To navigate Agricultural Export Data/Import Data click on the links below. The link will take you to Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, FAOSTAT. The navigation is on the left hand side for Imports and Exports. Agricultural Production Data can be organized by commodities by country, countries by commodities, major commodity importer orders, etc. Once you have decide which method you would like to use for data extraction use the drop down menu to select country and year of choice. For example, if you would like to find the top five imported commodities for the United States of America during 2009 and its value. In my opinion, the easiest way to retrieved this information is the following:

1) Click on Agricultural Export Link
2) On the left hand navigation, under imports, I would select "Commodities by Country."
3) In the selected area drop down menu, I would scroll down to United States of America, select the year 2009, and sort by value ($).

Once the three steps are completed the data is automatically extract. A chart and a listing of top commodities is produce.
