About The Newsletter:
As Corresponding Secretary, I Brixton Layne, will be writing monthly newsletters for Dry Creek4-H. These newsletters will keep you up to date on 4-H activities, news,and much more. Because the newsletter is in its early stages, this month's issue will not contain as much as it will in the coming months. Expect much more next month!
Sheep Group:
Headed By: Randy Layne
This week, the Sheep Group will be competing at the Big Fresno Fair. Showing dates are October 12-13. At the fair, they will be showing in the Market and the Showmanship Classes.
Showmanship: This class is won by how well a sheep is shown by the owner, how well the showman sets up the legs, the calmness of the sheep, and how well it braces.
Market: In this class, good qualities of a sheep include a long and wide loin, muscular hindquarter, and being structurally correct.
Photography Group:

The next photography group meeting is at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo on October15, at 1:00 pm.
At the zoo, the group will be taking pictures and so they can enter them in the zoo's photo contest.
Pet of The Month:
Sass is a 23 year old Sorrel Quarter Horse, she is owned by Kylie Colvard. Sass is a Jack of all Trades but master of none. Sass and Kylie have won many hipoints. Sass has also won in western pleasure, reining, english flat, hunter hack, and Gymkana. Sass is very sweet and the horse that taught Kylie how to ride.
