Cotton Production Meetings- Cotton production meetings are organized each year that address current management and production issues. Topics commonly include an update of general crop conditions, insect and weed control issues, irrigation and nutrient management guidelines as well as disease, plant growth regulation and other timely topics intended to keep the grower and industry up to date with timely production concerns.
West Side REC Cotton Field Day- Prior to cotton defoliation, a September field meeting is conducted that highlights cotton research activities being conduction at the research and extension center. This is a prime opportunity to see what current research projects are being conducted by the cotton industry and become knowledgeable about recent findings and the potential for new approaches to managing priority cotton production problems.
