The California Alfalfa Seed Production Symposium is held in March in odd-numbered years (i.e. 2005, 2007, 2011). The same program is presented in the two major seed-producing areas of California - Fresno County at the West Side Research and Extension Center and Imperial County at the Desert Research and Extension Center. The most recent symposium was held in March 2011.
