All members may enter: Purchased, Style Show, Decorated, the “Bag Up Fashion” Challenge and $19.95 State Challenge. Members must be in the Clothing and Textiles Project to enter categories: Constructed, Recycled, and Accessories. Entries can be done by mail or Email (Email preferred) New this year: Bring your constructed quilts and have them judged. Once again we will be having a table setting and centerpiece competition, attend a modeling workshop, and end the day with a fashion show and a great sit down luncheon.

LUNCH: Approx. 12:30 p.m. (Prepaid lunch $7.00, day of event $9.00)
COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT: Bring $1.00 donation. We will be making cards & decorating toys to give to patients at Children’s Hospital of Central California. The toys will be distributed on Saint Patrick’s Day.
Entries for all contests and luncheon reservations: Due by Monday, February 15, 2012. Entry Forms are available in MS Word or PDF and can be mailed or E-mailed. Please follow the instructions on the forms. Lunch payment of $7.00 per person can be sent to Krisi Costa, 34295 Ennis Rd., Squaw Valley, Ca. 93675 . Checks made payable to: Reedley 4-H. Lunch will include a Chicken Sandwich, Salad, Drink and of course Fashion Show. Lunch tickets purchased after deadline or the day of event will be $9.00 per lunch ticket. Order early!!
Quilts, Pillow Cases, Table Settings and Centerpieces will also be judged. Age divisions are as of December 31 of the current program year. Juniors 9-11, Intermediate 12-13, Senior 14 and up. Registration for table settings and centerpieces can be done online at http://ucanr.org/frspecial.
Centerpieces will be used on table for the luncheon and must use the Fashion Revue theme: “Rhinestone Cowboys and Cowgirls.” White tablecloths will be used. Scoring will be based on originality, overall effect, suitable for purpose, quality construction, and use of color/texture.
Table Settings can use any theme. White table cloths will be on the tables. Judging guidelines for table settings are as follows. Member must set up own table setting. A space for one place setting and centerpiece will be provided. Entire table setting is approximately a 2 ft. x 2 ft. square. White table cloths will be provided. Centerpieces must be made by the exhibitor. It cannot be a purchased or a pre-made centerpiece.
Items in arrangement may be purchased or pre-made. Exhibitor must bring place mat, silverware, dishes, napkin, cup, centerpiece, a card with a menu that would be served at this meal. Menu will be judged and must be printed on a recipe card. This will count 1/3 of score. Either plan a full meal or plan nutritious snack for both cases select at least one item from each food group in the food pyramid to balance the menu. All possible caution will be taken in displaying entries. Since we cannot be responsible for breakage or theft, we encourage members not to bring good china or silver. Scoring will be based on proper setting, attractiveness & originality, and a balanced menu.
Pillowcase Competition: At the Fresno County Fashion Revue 4-H members can enter their pillowcases for judging, there will be a certificate of award for placement or participation given. Members will also be able to enter their pillowcases at the Fresno County 4-H Fair. They will be collected and taken to the State Fashion Revue. Quilts: Any quilt made by the member may be entered. If you would like to contribute your quilt to the Quilts for Wounded Warriors project, it must be 45”x81” in size with red, white and blue fabrics preferred.
