County Presentation Day
WHEN: Saturday, March 24, 2012, Clovis High School (1055 Fowler Ave., Clovis)(Those receiving a gold medal will be eligible to participate at Regional Presentation Day.)
JUDGES: Adult volunteers are needed to judge presentations. Training/Orientation 8:30 a.m.
ROOM MONITORS: Youth volunteers needed. Orientation begins at 8:30 a.m.

REGISTRATION: 9:00 a.m. in the cafeteria.
PRESENTATIONS: Begin at 9:30 a.m.
ENTERTAINMENT: Volunteers are needed to entertain participants until the awards ceremony.
DISPLAYS: Would you like to set up a display about a special project?

ANIMALS: Members bringing an animal must contain it and clean up after it.
VISUAL POLICY: If you would like to do a Power Point Presentation, the 4-H office will supply a laptop, LCD projector, and screen for your use if you call Melanie Curtis at 600-7285 by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2011.

CCLs and Leaders: Please encourage participation by your members.
Catagories:
*Demonstration: A planned presentation in which the 4-H member teaches through “show and tell” using posters and demonstration materials. Individual or group of 2 or 3.
*Illustrated Talk: A prepared talk in which the 4-H member teaches using posters or the equivalent (e.g. Power Point Slides). Individual group of 2 or 3.
*Impromptu: Member is given three minutes to organize, then delivers a speech (5 minute maximum) on a topic prepared by the judges.
*Cultural Arts: Performs a costumed dramatic reading, musical, dance or other such performing art.
*Audio Visual Presentation: A slide, video or computer presentation 5 to 10 minutes in length, accompanied by verbal commentary or audio track. Not the same as an Illustrated Talk. This is essentially a "pre-recorded" presentation with a live introduction and conclusion.
*Share the Fun: Group performance that focuses on health, safety, community pride, recreation, citizenship or other 4-H Project or activity.
