County Judging Day

Fresno County 4-H Judging Day is held every year in March, usually on the first Saturday. (The 2013 Event will be held on Saturday, March 9th). There are three judging contests held simultaneously and members participate in all three--Animal Science, Consumer Science, and Plant & Mechanical Science. Members judge a group of four similar items and place them 1st-4th. Their placings are compared to the placings made by the official judge. Points are awarded pased on the accuracy of their placings and the event awards are given based on overall within each contest. Most years, the Fresno County 4-H Horse Judging Event is held immediately following County Judging Day to make it easier for members to compete in both events.
