4-H is an informal educational program that allows youth to learn by doing. The 4-H community club program offers a wide variety of activities for youth. Youth join a club, take part in monthly meetings run by members and explore their individual interests through projects. Each club has at least one Community Club Leader who is an adult volunteer. Project meetings are set and run by additional adult volunteers. Members can also participate in a number of county, sectional (multi-county), and statewide 4-H events.

2013 ELBOW CREEK 4-H TRAP & SKEET SHOOTING MATCH SATURDAY JUNE 8, 2013 Tulare County Trap Club West of Rd 80 on Ave 328 Visalia Check in 8:00 AM, Mandatory Shooters Meeting 9:00 AM Trapshooting Match hosted by Elbow Creek 4-H The match is open to 4-H members enrolled in shooting sports from Tulare, Kings, Kern, Fresno and Madera Counties. Age is determined by member’s age as of 12-31-2012 Age Divisions: Junior 9 & 10 years old Intermediate 11, 12, & 13 years old Senior 14 years & up Cost: Trap - $10.00 per shooter for 2 rounds of Trap. Skeet - $10.00 per shooter for 2 rounds of Skeet Shooters must provide their own shotgun shells. No reloads permitted. Registration must be postmarked by May 31, 2013. Entries postmarked after May 31, 2013 are subject to availability. The range will be open for practice from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, Cost $5.00 per round. Rules: Trap - Shooters will shoot two rounds of twenty five targets from 16 yards. Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) rules will be followed. Skeet - Shooters will shoot two rounds of twenty five targets, NSSA rules will apply. Match Awards – Awards will be given to the top 5 shooters in each age division.
