Biography

I was raised in Merced, CA and attended Merced College, Butte College, Cal Poly SLO (B.S. Fruit Science, 1984), and UC Davis (M.S. Horticulture, 1988).

I joined Sacramento County Cooperative Extension as an advisor in June 1996. Before that, for seven years I was a tree & vine information analyst at the statewide UC Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education Program in Davis.
