The Associate Vice President for Academic Programs and Strategic Initiatives also serves as the statewide program leader for county-based Cooperative Extension programs and is the director for the research and extension centers.

ANR’s four program leaders, three regional directors, associate director of the research and extension centers as well as the directors for the nine individual research and extension centers report to her. The Associate Vice President for Academic Programs and Strategic Initiatives ensures that all of these units operate under appropriate statewide policies and guidelines. Included under the Associate Vice President for Academic Programs and Strategic Initiatives is Program Planning and Evaluation, Research and Extension Centers, Statewide Programs, Academic Personnel, Affirmative Action and Statewide Program Management and Operations.

The Associate Vice President for Academic Programs and Strategic Initiatives advances Divisionwide program priorities through the deployment of resources and the application of criteria for advancement of academic personnel. She reports directly to the ANR vice president.
