The 4-H section of the Mendocino County Cooperative Extension web site now features downloadable proficiencies for a variety of 4-H projects. By the time most of you read this, all of the proficiencies will be posted.
Most proficiencies are currently only available in .pdf format, but ultimately they will be downloadable in .doc format as well.
The proficiencies are available as part of what will soon be a larger section of the web site providing resources to project leaders.
A handul of 4-H parents I've spoken with have asked where to get 4-H whites, caps, collars, ties, etc., in advance of the Redwood Empire Fair.
The answer is Leslie Carmen supplies. Their web site is very navigable and their online store is easy to use.
As the current 4-H year begins to wind down and we gear up for the next one, here are a few useful administrative tools for 4-H leaders.
A very useful form (a downloadable Excel spreadsheet) for treasurers keeping track of their club finances can be found here at the statewide 4-H web site.
Sample bylaws for clubs are available at the same page in the Constitution and Bylaws section. These downloads are available in both Word and PDF formats.
Thanks for stopping by the Mendo 4-H Blog!
I invite you to visit this space periodically for info on 4-H events and activities. If you are a 4-H community leader or project leader, you'll also want to check every so often for the latest info on 4-H administrative matters (member enrollment, CA 4-H policy changes, etc.).
This space can serve as a forum for feedback and discussion. With each new post, feel free to share your opinions and feedback by posting a comment. In doing so, you can help improve the quality of 4-H's work on behalf of the young people in our county!
