What's new with the Web Action Team

For those of you who post a lot on the ANR Blogs you may have noticed a change on the Blog interface. The ability to add multiple Authors has been added to the Blogs. Each Author can be listed under any name the poster would like, even "King of the Universe" (should one feel the need to be listed as that).

Author Interface

When there are many authors sorting has been made easy with drag and dropping the author to the proper location. of course the arrows are always available if needed.

Changing the Sort Order

Here you can see an Author being edited. Everything can be edited to suit the need.

Setting a custom title

Posters may add as many people as they need, there is no limit.

One glitch in this new system is how the byline photo is assigned. If we have "author photo" turned on, the photo of the person who posted the story shows up, not necessarily the author. It would be great if we could select whose photo shows up.

Definitely not a 'glitch!'

The author/contributor/writer feature complicates things quite a bit. There are different roles, and names can be entered in a free-form manner. Looking through the stories on the News blog, some of the people listed as Author are not in our directory, and we do not have photos for them.

My suggestion is that if a blog needs to use these alternative roles, you turn off the author photo.
