Adobe Connect is a breeze, unless you skipped the training....

The upgrade on the Adobe-hosted server UCD and ANR uses will be upgraded this Saturday. This will mean two things: The URL will change and the look and operation will change.
The URL will change, but we don’t know exactly what it will be yet. The good news is that Adobe is supposed to do a URL re-write so anything that points to an old URL should automatically be redirected to the new one. Links to recordings that people have posted on websites should not break. Links to the meeting rooms should not break.
We know the change will take place this Saturday May 7, but we don't know how meetings will be affected that day. We do know that Adobe has been updating servers all over the world to version 8 since last October, so they are experienced at it. It is not new to them, it is just new to us.
We are positioned to make sure you still have access through your ANR Portal so that will continue to be the most convenient method to get into Adobe Connect to host a meeting.
All hosts and presenters will need new Adobe Connect add-ins installed. This will occur as it does now; if you need it, the system will notify you, you will accept the suggestion, and it will install automatically. This will be needed for every computer/browser you use with Adobe Connect, just as you have done before.
New tutorials will be available for the new features and will also be available through your ANR Portal.
