Wanted: Expert MG Trainers in a Sustainable Landscape
Since my last day is November 30th, I want to give you an heads up. If you are interested, send me an email: caclary@ucdavis.edu After the 30th, give Robin Cleveland a call at 621-5528 or an email at rkcleveland@ucdavis.edu
After November 25th and depending on space availability, you have the opportunity to register for “Sustainable Landscapes – Train the Trainer”, being put on by the Statewide Master Gardener Office. Read on below, and if this is something you are interested in, you better be ready to jump on the opportunity right after Thanksgiving. I will send an email as soon as I get the word from Pam Geisel's office.
While MG goals are always to extend science-based research information, in this case they want to provide training and tools that can effect and measure behavior change as well. The purpose will be to identify and measure ways that individuals adopt behaviors that will conserve water, maintain water quality, improve soil condition, reduce landfill waste, reduce pesticide use, etc. The results of this project will be published in a scientific/extension journal.
