Ha! I'm pretty sure I could get in trouble if I spend another moment laughing alone in my office. My fav part: "I’ve been brought on as an intern to replace the promotion department"

That's a good find Dave. The funny part is most of that is only the silly names people are calling things. When you get in the tech side of all of this the crazy naming jumps ten fold. All these "immerging" online toys were around ten years ago we simply called them by they apparent names. Announcements have become Blogs, Org Chart's have become social networks. Funny how things have not really changed that much.

Great post. We keep touting social media as the latest and greatest communications tool, but how will people get our message when they are buried within posts (or tweets) about manicures and breakfast selections. But what about "Google Wave"? Is it the social media of the future? Is it different?

Social media is in a big fad right now. In the next few years it will jump all over the place keeping everyone busy. Eventually it will settle down to a standard which will satisfy everyone except Microsoft and probably has not been created yet.
